Ideas To Save The Planet

The following is the text from the chapter, Join Us in Stoking the Fire of the Human Spirit with the Wind of Your Voice, Your Passion, and Your Action, from my book, Ideas To Save the Planet.

My intention in writing this book was to drop a lot of Idea Bombs on the world in the hope that they explode in everyone's imaginations, ripple around the world, and they fuel the fire of passion and desire in their hearts for taking action to save the planet.

I hope that the fire of passion for environmental activism that has been burning since the 1960’s will be kept alive with my efforts. I also hope that the current Green Revolution that is starting to gain strength, is inspired to be even more powerful in how they implement their beautiful intention to take action, by now going all the way and Going 100% Clear.

I hope that this book stoked the fire of passion, in your heart and your soul.

My fire for this work, in my heart and soul, has ebbed and flowed, but still burns brightly.

As I've said, I lived in a shack for a year in 2007-2008.

The shack is 1 mile from the foot of Mt. Blanca, which is 14,000 feet tall and 6 miles wide and is a massive peak that rises out of the very flat desert valley floor. It is one of the 4 sacred mountains in the San Luis Valley, and is the most eastern and therefore the one that represents the dawn and new beginnings. It’s where Native Americans used to go to have vision quests. The San Luis Valley was also known as The Bloodless Valley because Tribes all agreed to not fight, and only to hunt and perform ceremonies there. I lived near Mt. Blanca or at the foot of it for 3 years. The photo of the snowy mountain on the back of this book is Mt. Blanca and I took it in the driveway of the shack on a very cold and snowy morning.

I didn’t have a vision there, but it was quiet enough and I had time write and to articulate my bloodless vision of hope for humanity.

I certainly hope all my efforts to manifest this book will lead to a new beginning for me, and for my hopes and dreams.

I also hope that my saying, “It is possible to save the planet” above Mt. Blanca will lead to a new beginning for humanity where everyone thinks that it is still possible and inspires them to take action to save it before it’s too late.

The shack also had a good wood stove and first day I got there I started a fire in it to stay warm. The fire burned down to glowing red coals. I tried to fully burn the wood, so I blew on the coals.

The red coals shimmered, tinkled, and fluttered from my breath and the flames that had died, leapt back to life.

I had to scrounge up a lot of wood that year, but that stove kept me alive, and I had to huddle over it like Bob Cratchit, from Dickens’s, Scrooge.

But after using that wood stove in the shack for a year, I noticed that you need small pieces of wood to start a fire, and you need them to burn larger logs and to keep them burning.

I hope that you, the reader, and the entire world, are empowered and inspired by my words, my voice, and my actions after reading my book.

I hope that the fire in your heart and soul flutters, your coals shimmer and glow brighter, as that wood fire did as I blew on it.

I hope that your soul hears my wisdom, and you are so excited and inspired, that you leap up and take action to save the planet, like that flame, which leapt up back into being.

I hope that I stoked the fire of your heart and soul, and your spirit is lifted, that you feel more honored, appreciated, respected, and supported, and that your fire burns brighter after reading of my words. Because you now know that the world’s problems are not hopeless, that they can be solved, and you have to tools to solve them. I hope that you now have the spiritual will to pick those tools up and to use them.

I hope that you now choose to use your voice, your passion, and your actions, and the wind of your breath to blow on the fire of the human spirit, and the fire of these ideas.

Stoke the fires of awareness and passion that manifests the progressive, spiritual, political, social, technological, and environmental changes that lead towards saving this planet and all of humanity.

Add your breath, your voice, and your action to stoke that fire in the hearts of the people around you.

I hope that you choose to be one more little fire of positive change that ignites larger fires and keeps them burning.

I hope that people come up to me at my book signings and say to me, 'You sparked my fire, and now I’m on it!'

We as a species and our planet are in peril and on the verge of self inflicted disaster, destruction, and annihilation. I invite the people of the world to keep the fire of human spirit burning and light the way into a brighter future, by working to ensure the survival of us all.

Music can help to save the planet. Please remember the old Christian song, “This Little Light of Mine, I’m going to let it Shine” and get shining already! Shine on you Crazy Diamonds!(Pink Floyd). Light the way to a better future. Step up to the, Higher Ground, (Stevie Wonder), Hear the, Message of Love, then, Show Me, the meaning of the word love (The Pretenders.) Then, Get On Your Boots, (U2), your carbon fiber boots and make real carbon footprints as you're living cleanly and abundantly and taking action. We need, Just One Victory, (Todd Rundgren), and we’re on our way to the planet being saved!

This new century could be a new beginning for all of humanity. One that leads to a world that’s free of pollution, war, hunger, thirst, poverty, or diseases, and one where we all bloom personally, socially, spiritually, economically, and technologically.

We just have to have the vision to see such a future, then take action to manifest it.

I’ve opened my mind, thought creatively, envisioned a brighter future, and am taking action to manifest it. I hope that my actions and this book leads to a new beginning for humanity and for me and for my hopes and dreams. So we all can start blooming and thriving instead of just surviving.

I feel like the time is right for me and for my hopes and dreams to come true. People all over the world are waking up to the dangers of climate change and are beginning to mobilize to do something about it. So, I think the time is right for the world to be open to these ideas and to implementing them.

Now we just have to go all the way with that intention, by Going Clear, and go directly to zero emissions and true energy independence.

I've added my voice and ideas to the thousands of other activists who are Heroing for the Planet. I hope all our collective work, optimism, words, and wisdom will continue to ripple out, encircle the globe, and resonate in everyone’s heart, and that we are successful in inspiring the world to save the planet, before it’s too late.
